#SpringsFire [7/12/23 MORNING UPDATE 8:00 AM]: The fire was 100% contained to 36.59 as of 7/11/23 at 11:00 PM. The fire is being patrolled by fire resources. All resources are expected to clear the scene today.

#SpringsFire [8:45 PM UPDATE]: The fire is 36.59 acres and 70% contained. Resources will remain on scene throughout the night working on full containment.

#SpringsFire [6:30 PM UPDATE]: With the smoke clearing, our air attack had a much clearer view and determined that the fire is currently 28 acres, rather than the 60 initially reported. Containment remains at 70% due to the great efforts and aggressive fire attack by firefighters in the air and on the ground.

#SpringsFire [6:20 PM UPDATE]: The fire is 60 acres and 70% contained. The forward rate of spread has been stopped.

#SpringsFire [UPDATE]: The fire is 50 acres and 0% contained. Westbound Highway 60 and #1 lane of Eastbound Highway 60 is open.

Firefighters are on-scene of 30 acres burning South of Highway 60, East of Gilman Springs Road in unincorporated Moreno Valley. The fire is burning at a slow to moderate rate of spread in light flashy fuels. Highway 60 will be closed in both eastbound and westbound directions at Gilman Springs Road. Gilman Springs Road will be closed at Alessandro Boulevard.
