[UPDATE 07/27 8:25AM] The fire is now 80% contained at 52.4 acres.
[UPDATE 07/26 9PM] The evacuation order has been lifted and all roads in the area are now open. Please use caution when returning to the area as firefighters continue to work towards full containment.
[UPDATE 07/26 6:50 PM] The fire is 65% contained at 52.4 acres. The evacuation order for the area immediately surrounding the fire perimeter remains in place. The road closures on Shady Lane and Caesar Chavez between 54 and 55 will be re-evaluated this evening when the heavy equipment has cleared the area.
[UPDATE 07/26 9AM] The fire is now 40% contained at 52.4 acres. The evacuation warnings have been lifted. The evacuation order for the area immediately surrounding the fire remains in place.
[UPDATE 07/26 7:00AM]: Firefighters worked throughout the night building containment lines and mopping up hot spots and the fire remains 15% contained. Fire personnel will remain on-scene today working on building containment lines and checking for hot spots. The evacuation WARNING and ORDER area remains in place and will be re-assessed as conditions allow.
[UPDATE 10:00PM]: The fire remains 15% contained. Firefighters will remain on-scene throughout the night working on containment lines and mopping up hot spots. The evacuation ORDER and WARNING area will remain in place overnight and will be re-assessed on 07/26 in the morning. This will be the final update of the evening unless significant activity dictates otherwise.
Firefighters are on-scene of 52.4-acres burning in heavy fuels. The forward rate of spread has been stopped at 7:45PM with a containment of 15%. Firefighters continue to reinforce containment lines and will monitor throughout the evening for hot spots. Please use caution when moving through the area. American Red Cross is currently assisting 7 displaced residents.
