Current Situation

UPDATE 8:20PM: The fire is fully contained. The roadway on Lamb Canyon is now open. Firefighters are clearing the scene.

UPDATE 6:00 PM: The fire is now 50% contained and firefighters remain on-scene working toward full containment. One lane of traffic is open on Lamb Canyon.

UPDATE 2:40 p.m.: The fire has been mapped at 47 acres and the forward progress has been stopped. Firefighters will remain on scene for approximately five hours performing mop up.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are on scene of a vegetation fire at Beaumont Avenue (Lambs Canyon) X California Avenue, south of Beaumont. The fire is approximately 10 acres of light vegetation, burning at a moderate rate. Multiple air and ground resources assigned. No injuries or evacuations. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
