Current Situation

UPDATE 10/25/24 at 4 P.M. The fire has been contained 100% at 40 acres.

UPDATE 10/25/2024 AT 7:50 AM: Overnight, firefighter crews focused on repression repair and contained the fire to 95%. Due to flare-ups appearing throughout the night into the morning, resources will continue patrolling the area until full containment.

UPDATE 10/24/2024 AT 6:50 PM: Crews have increased containment to 70% at 40 acres. Two engines will remain overnight to patrol and mop-up.

UPDATE 10/24/2024 AT 4:30PM: All road closures have been opened. Please remember to use caution when driving in the area.

UPDATE 10/24/2024 AT 3:45PM: The fire remains at 40 acres and is 50% contained. Crews will remain on scene for approximately working on full containment. Anticipated commitment time is two hours.

UPDATE 10/24/2024 AT 3:00PM: All evacuation warnings and orders have been lifted. Please use caution when returning home and remain cautious of fire and law enforcement personnel in the area.

UPDATE 10/24/2024 AT 1:55PM: The EVACUATION ORDERS for zones RVC-2386, and RVC-2366 have been downgraded to EVACUATION WARNINGS. The EVACUATION WARNINGS for zones RVC-2321, and RVC-2367 have been lifted. Please avoid the area, if possible, and be cautious of fire and law enforcement crews in the area.

UPDATE 10/24/2024 AT 1:30PM: The fire is now 40 acres.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to multiple reports of a wildland fire near the 44000 block of Highway 79 in Aguanga. The first arriving Company Officer reported approximately two to three acres of light, flashy fuels, burning at a moderate rate of spread. The fire is currently burning in light to moderate fuels and is approximately 10 acres. An EVACUATION ORDER has been issued for zones RVC-2366, and RVC-2386. North of the Riverside/San Diego County line. East of White Mountain Road. West of High Point Truck Trail. South of Highway 79. An EVACUATION WARNING has been issued for zones RVC-2321, and RVC-2367. North of the Riverside/San Diego County line. East of White Mountain Road. West of Silent Valley Road. South of El Pasta. Road closures have been placed at Highway 371 X Highway 79 and Sage x Highway 79.
