Current Situation

[UPDATE 7/22/2025 8:30AM]: The fire is 95% contained and holds at 1,096 acres. Suppression repair and rehabilitation of control lines continues.

[UPDATE 7/21/2025 9:15PM]: The animal shelter located at the Riverside County Department of Animal Services located at 581 S. Grand Avenue, San Jacinto has closed emergency operations and is back to normal business operations and hours.

UPDATE [7/21/2025 7:30AM]: The fire is now 95% contained. Suppression repair crews will continue working through the coming days to close out the fire and fire crews will finish griding the interior of the fire and seeking out any last hidden smoldering pockets.

EVACUATIONS UPDATE.

All Evacuation Warnings have been lifted. Please use caution as crews are still working.

UPDATE [7/20/2025 7:00PM]: The fire is now 90% contained. Crews will continue working through the night extending containment lines, griding the interior of the fire and validating existing lines from any hidden smoldering pockets.

#DaleFIRE [UPDATE 7/20/2025 4:45PM]: The Evacuation Center at the Anza Veterans of Foreign Wars, 59011 Bailey Road, Anza will be closed for the duration of the fire at 5:00PM 7/20/2025.

#DaleFIRE [UPDATE 7/20/2025 3:00PM]:

EVACUATIONS UPDATE. EVACUATION ORDERS and WARNINGS remain in place for the following zones:

Evacuation WARNINGS: CBI-CAHUILLA-1-C Has been downgraded to a warning.

All Evacuation Orders have lifted. Please use caution as crews are still working.

UPDATE [7/20/2025 8:00AM]: The fire is now 75% contained, the crews today will be prepared for the weather to change back to normal conditions. They will hit any flare ups or new starts and continue working in heavy vegetation buildup areas of the fire line. They will be griding the interior of the fire’s perimeter for smoldering vegetation.

Note the change in evacuation center location from The Anza Community Center to the Anza Veterans of Foreign Wars located at 59011 Bailey Road, Anza will be open from 7:AM to 7:00PM.

UPDATE [7/19/2025 7:00PM]: The fire 70% contained. Crews will continue through the night tactical patrolling and mopping-up through dense spots of ash in and around unburned bushes and vegetation to strengthen and extend the containment lines.

The Evacuation Center Located at the Anza Community Center, 56630 Highway 371, Anza will close on 7/20/2025 at 7:00AM. The Veterans of Foreign Wars, 59011 Bailey Road, Anza will be open from 7:AM to 7:00PM starting 7/20/2025

UPDATE [7/19/2025 8:30AM]: The fire is now 55% contained, the crews today will hit any flare ups, and continue working in heavy vegetation buildup areas of the fire line.

UPDATE [7/18/2025 7:00PM]: The fire remains 1096 acres and is now 45% contained. Crews will continue through the night working hotspots and reinforcing the lines.

UPDATE [7/18/2025 3:00PM]:

EVACUATIONS UPDATE. EVACUATION ORDERS and WARNINGS remain in place for the following zones:

UPDATE [07/18/25 8:00AM]: The fire has been mapped at 1096 acres and is 34% contained. Units are working in and around hot spots along the edges of the fire. The incoming weather system did not bring any precipitation to the footprint of the fire. Crews will be on the lookout for any new fires in the area like yesterdays 2 acres grass fire from a lightning strike.

UPDATE [07/17/25 8:00PM]: Crews reinforced and extended the containment lines and brought containment up to 28%. Mop up in heavy fuel beds is being worked on by crews on the line. A small approximately two-acre grass fire that was nearby was handled by resources assigned to the Dale Fire.

UPDATE [07/17/25 12:00PM]: Crews hit hot spots last night and brought containment up to 25%. Damage Inspection Crews (DINS) will be at the fire shortly to inspect any damaged or destroyed structures. Crews will continue with mop-up and line strengthening this next operational period.

UPDATE [12:50AM 07/17/25]: The fire is now 1071 acres and 10% contained. Crews will be working through the night hitting hotspots as they continue to bolster the containment lines. This will be the last update of the night unless significant activity occurs.

UPDATE [8:45PM 07/16/25]: Crews continue to make progress on the fires perimeter and the fire is now 700 acres. Night flying helicopters have been ordered to assist with ground crews tonight.

UPDATE [07/16/25 2:30PM]: The fire is now 220 acres.

Firefighters are on-scene of approximately 20 acres burning in light flashy fuels at a moderate rate of spread. There are two branches to the fire being handled as one incident. An additional 20 engines have been requested, as well as additional aircraft.

Highway 371 between Barbara Trail and Cary Road is closed.
